Dear Thailand [Day 25: All you can Eat]

Spent the day being sillys
Quite an eventful day and my second to last day here =(

Ahhh, well, I am becoming a fatty here.
Too much good food
I have yet to try anything I didn't like.



Went to Central Plaza for my cousin Dear and to eat



A little food theme going on in this one area
we had strawberry smooties

On our way in the taxi!
We came with Dew [brother of Dear] and he's an marketing engineer dude for Toyota!



We ate at this place owned by Oishi.
If you don't know Oishi, they are huge! They make the best green/black tea in bottles and cartons. Nina and I have been drinking them like crazy.

KAITEN STYLE?!?!?
which is where all the food is on a conveyer belt and you sit along side a bench and grab the plates! See the pot in front? That's sukiyaki. I grab plates of fish,beef,pork,veggies,squid,etc and drop it in there

SUSHI BUFFET TOO!
Just eating here was 230 baht per person...that is $7 all you can eat!

My fave was the cucumber roll thing

This busboy was amazing and super lightening fast @ cleaning up
I've never seen anyone so fast

After we ate, we stopped at some shops
We met a panda

But no matter how much walking we did
I still felt fat

Started raining
and since we were outside with a roof over our heads that didn't cover us completely [we ate on the ends] we covered ourselves with a scarf

Dear Thailand [Day 24: Fam]

I can't believe I watched Tales of the Crypt when I was little.
No wonder i was scared, it is hella violent!
I told Toto about the show because a cartoon version comes on. I told him it was scarier and I opened up a youtube episode of it and within 10 seconds you just saw a woman axing her husband by the fireplace.

Toto is now scarred for life.

& I really didnt know the show use to be like that

Need a haircuttt! Damn they are goodddd.

New haircutt! Wordd!
It's different from my previous ones. We went to a haircut place across from Central. We got a discount for being American @ 100 baht ($3) and all the people there had awesome hairstyles. There were around 10 people in a small little place, 3 people worked on my hair! One to do hairwashing, one to actually cut and style, and one to blowdry! My aunt just pointed at a picture and said to make it Thai-stye. The guy who cut my hair had cute pink/yellow highlights!

Walked around to go shopping, hella crowded!
We had to seriously push through people and everything
I wonder how they dont sweat sometimes...but since Nina and I do, we need a drink!

Dear Thailand [Day 23: Robots]

Coming home June 29th

We watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It was better than the 1st, more action packed and everything!
Megan Fox is still hot and Shia LeBeouf is still adorable

We walked around Central Plaza
and I never noticed there was a Warner Bros store!
I had to stop and buy a Superman and Batman shirt =)

Many traffic lights here consist of a timer!
We had to wait 115 seconds

We were on our way to Suan Lum Night Bazaar

Did I mention there is a lot of different kinds of beer here?
theres even a huge foaming beer mug on a wall

There were tons of tourists here
and it was hilarious hearing them trying to bargain & lower the price
"100 baht?"
"no, 120"
"100 baht!?
"no 120"

cause everywhere we shopped at, they lowered the price

They had a huge indoor beer garden

& live music
"hey mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey mickey!"

WELCOME TO THAILAND'S NIGHT BAZAAR

Dear Thailand [Day 22: Chinese-Thai]

There are old Chinese communities here =)
Thai & Chinese in one!

We had to visit a Chinese temple today to pray for our grandmother.
This is the first time I've seen my grandfather come with us to any place!
Usually he says in the house and sleeps or watches dramas. He reminds us of E.T


The Chinese Temple we went to was the FIRST Chinese temple built

First step, light the candles and stick them with the rest!

After we put the candles in there, we had to do light the incense and do what the guy in the photo is doing,
we had incense and then we said [in our mind] that we hope to do well in school and life...etc etc

And see the tray full of coffee and dumplings?
We all put our hand on it and pray while "giving" [the tray back]

Then you take the yellow flower things and set them in in front of the statues and everything

We had to put incense sticks everywhere
there were two pots in front of this door and 3 pots near it.

A lady helped us through the whole process, thanks goodness

Last step was to take oil and put them in these pots [when they overflow it is nifty looking]
these pot things are where you light your incense

Went inside the room with the golden statue
for 20baht, you can hit this with the stick given

Ate at a chinese-thai restaurant
I had wonton!

Since this place has Chinese people,
they also have the signs written in chinese/thai. That is how you know you are walking into an old chinese community.

On the way home,
drove on the main avenue here, where the nice temples are, the big emerald buddha is, the symbol of thailand, the kings palace, lots of photos of the king, historical buildings, etc.

What my dad calls, the symbol of Thailand landmark "Demo-crazy"

Behind this fountain has one of the many buildings on the main road to be historical.
They aren't allowed to change anything to the front of the building

This is my dad's friend
he took us to the I.T mall afterwards to look at movies and stuff but it was expensive
Instead, he knows of a website of bootleg stuff for only 60 baht. YAY!
I want Big Bang in concert.
